On the A7 III the codec is old, the EVF is ancient, the feel is digital and colour is accurate on a chart at the expense of nice in the real world. To put a lock on the EV dial? You almost had me, Sony. Sometimes progressive signals are wrapped within interlaced and sometimes things are firmware updated etc. The question Sebastian is: which one is better for video? I am planning on buying either an A7 or A7r.
Hope you guys let us know which one to get for higher video quality and why. Note: phase detection autofocus is irrelevant for me because I focus manually when filming. Judging from past experience with similar product pairs these cameras have the same sensor and offer the same video quality.
