It's probably a bottleneck somewhere, or the card is defective. You gave us almost nothing to go on here. Need FULL specs. I have i7 so it cant bottleneck and temperatures are ok. Psu- Raidmax aw Thunder v2 its enough for need only w and i7 not need alot. I've started having same problems, with my games since steam recent updates I have i7, 3.
I've had Nvidia look at my drivers and they are fine only other change to my system is Steam update????? And both games I have completed. Think steam should go back to the old way of patches, if a game is working fine let us just continue to play it, but stm32 sim800l library people are having problems let those people add patches to fix their games.

Question of the Week: What are some tricks to getting the best performance out of our home computers? Thread starter Marzipas Start date Aug 1, Sidebar Sidebar.
So I got a GTX not too long ago, and I've been starting to notice a few issues that don't seem right. When playing Mirror's Edge Catalyst I noticed horrible stuttering, even with vsync on which I have on most of the time now as ever since the upgrade I've been getting screen tearing in pretty much every game. The FPS is shown as being a stable 60fps, and even turning vsync off, the stuttering still takes place, yet my FPS is shown as being well over Adaptive vsync, triple buffering, does nothing to fix it.
At first I didn't see this in other games, but I'm positive I've started to notice it in things like Witcher 3 in the past few days, but to my eye other games don't seem to have the issue. Overwatch as well has the issue, the stuttering is really weird, if I use a controller to move the camera super slowly, its as if things are just lagging behind slightly and jittering as it catches up or something.Forums New posts Search forums.

Try vsync. Stutter has been a pretty common problem in GTA V. I'll get right back to you. Must be some sort of frame pacing issue with the game and Nvidia. Last edited: Aug 12, I actually increase mine in the advanced settings to x1.
I don't need to. I've tried every setting in game and in Nvidia CP and nothing gets rid of it. Something with Nvidia drivers and this game don't mesh if vsync is off. SSC Member. Need your guys wisdom again, unsure if this is normal or not. If I have Vsync off and I just let my frames run wild I will get stuttering. Its especially the worst in Battlefield 1. Game looks choppy. Now if I try capping the FPS at say Instead of micro stutter 3 frames forward 1 frame backI will get more of a stutter once a second 10 frames forward, 1 frame back type of deal.
It's rather odd. BF1 if I try to increase the resolution scale, the game becomes even more choppy and laggy and stuttery, if I for example increase the resolution scale from to orthe game looks like its running at 40 FPS, despite the fact that it's running at a pretty steady 80 or so FPS. In BF1 I average about This is a bit low When I use the perfoverlay. The second I turn on Vsync, the problem goes away instantly.
Buttery smooth panning from side to side or moving around produces 0 stuttering, no screen tearing, nada. What's the reason for this? I think I remember Sajin saying something about this a while ago, but I've been having so many computer issues and i've tried so many variables I believe this is due to me having a P 60hz monitor right?
Its something with the 60hz refresh rate, if I ran a hz monitor I wouldn't have this problem? Although one thing I am confused about is how online, lots of people say that capping your FPS at a lower number such as FPS below your refresh rate would stop such stutters. I tried it and it just made it worse. I'm worried about this because I'm definitely upgrading monitors.
I returned my Acer Predator because it was faulty, I'm a bit angry at myself that I didn't try that P hz Gsync in multiplayer, I only tried singleplayer I'm worried that since I will need to run with Vsync off when I get that monitor, I may have similar issues, although I'm unsure if Gsync will fix that for me.Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 has been out for a while now and while the game is being enjoyed by many there are, however, some issues faced by PC players in particular.
It is very frustrating to shell out all that money for high-end hardware and then not being able to play your favorite game. This problem might appear on even slightly older Nvidia GPUs such as the series. Whatever the case maybe this is how you fix it.
In my experience, the problem is caused by the Geforce Experience app which tries to automatically balance the game settings for you. This undoubtedly will drop your frames in game as it is very taxing on your GPU especially if you are playing on p.
Hope this fix helps you in solving your lag issues. While I have you here, feel free to check out my other BO4 performance issue fixes. Login Register. Home Gaming. The hitching usually occurs 'out of the blue' i. Outside of this hitching, I am also seeing significant frametime stuttering where previously I did not.
My specs: CPU - ik 4. Note the solid frametime baseline at Before this issue, I would have a sold, uninterrupted frametime of Note this time the less than consistent frame times, and the large hitch.
Any ideas or suggestions in this problem would be appreciated. If you need any more info, please let me know. OP here. Memory is Micron. Vbios NVMH. Try with a single monitor connected. Same result unfortunately.
I should emphasise that the problem isn't immediately apparent in most games - and rather that frame stutters or hitches seem to occur at random intervals, sometimes well into a period of gaming. For example, when testing with a single monitor I was able to run a full GTA V benchmark with no hitches or large stuttering. Continuing to play the third game and they all but disappeared only to reappear in the final few minutes.
I then ran another GTA V benchmark and experienced a single hitch at a midway point. Does it only happen in online games? Have you tried offline games too? Yes, unfortunately. I ruled out network issues by completely disabling the network adapter and playing offline games.
I've noticed that my vsynced frametimes are now nowhere near consistent at least compared to what they used to be - all over the place between 15ms and 18ms where usually they're Join us now! Stuttering Ryzen 5 1600 GTX 1070
Superclocked Member. Hey I was wondering if any of you have had a problem with the 10 series cardsin sli, I had no problem with s in sli but I have 2 sc in sli and I am getting stutter and frame drops I have tested each card induvidually and they work flawless no stutter at all. Also I tested these cards in bf3 and theirs no stutter in sli in bf3 with them. I have tried 2 different drivers and I get the same stutter in bf4. I have tried 3dmark bench test and no stutter either.
Could be one of the cards are not seated correctly and not getting a good connection. Omnipotent Enthusiast. I had 2 s in sli and never had a problem and was getting between fps and fps at p.
I get good fps now in p but more like to and when the frams drop it could go down to 75fps real quick. System specs are k 4. Old School RandyRick what are you using for an sli bridge?
There's that too.
